WebBrasenose chemists (in common with students at other colleges) study four separate subjects during their first year: Organic Chemistry with Biological Chemistry; Inorganic Chemistry; Physical Chemistry with Physics; and Mathematics.
WebMcKenna holds a BA in Economics from Amherst College and a Ph.D. in History from The Johns Hopkins University and he has held visiting academic fellowships at Harvard, Yale, Georgetown, and Toulouse. Before coming to Oxford in 2000, he taught at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
